Thanksgiving

All the best wishes for Thanksgiving to everyone. Ours passed by well, although I am buried in work. I made a pumpkin pie and an apple cake, both following the King Arthur cookbook. The former was good and the latter not (it tasted fine, but this recipe attracts moisture like a sponge, and unless eaten immediately apparently inevitably turns into a sodden mess), but I am so discouraged in general about things (nothing all too serious - I am just tired of doing nothing but work and sleep) that I couldn't muster up the energy to be too angry about it.
