I have had an extraordinary few days, which have left me both exhausted and, unexpectedly*, extremely proud of my country. Those who know what I've been doing will, I suppose, be able to work out what I mean.
Back to cooking this weekend. It's time to celebrate!
* obviously, I mean unexpectedly proud in the sense that what I was doing isn't usually connected to feelings of spontaneous patriotism - not that I am surprised that I am proud of my country, which I always am.
