Bar Boulud
We stopped by Bar Boulud last night on the way to see The Wrestler (very good, though hard to watch). Consistent with all the reviews, I could see no reason to order any of the main courses. But we assembled a meal from a masterful pate of chicken liver and pork and cognac, a terrine of lamb and sweet potatoes, some fries, and a plate of almost pickled coriander carrots. This is the new wave of dining in New York - snacks, and plates, and communal tables. I like it.
